STAT THE HELL AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

Worst dining experience in Japan EVER!! They served us with a grill that has 5 pathetically tiny pieces of fish, 5 pieces each of mushroom and squid, without us ordering them. When questioned they just told us how to eat them, so we thought it’s like a tsumami thing that sometimes Japanese restaurants offer. It wasn’t until I paid and saw the receipt that they charged us 680 yen EACH for this dish!! It’s sick enough the restaurant chooses to con foreigners this way, but at least you could have the decency of serving up something that’s remotely close in value to the freaking 3400 yen you charged!!! ...

Food was very mediocre…nothing outstanding. Service was quick but lacks friendliness / hospitality…it felt almost hurried and impatient. What was shocking was we were not given any towels when the other customers had one each. (There weren’t any serviettes to be found.) So after paying, we asked for towels and the waitress asked how many? Isn’t it plain courtesy or basic restaurant SOP to offer one to each customer? I asked for one for each of us and she returned with the disposable wet towels in plastic packaging while the others had towels!!??? Sheesh…1 star is...

Four of us kept ordering sake and foods, everything is delicious, especially the tofu, ox tongue and BBQ assorted fishes.
