If you’ve ever wanted to taste beef so luxurious it practically melts before you even get it on the grill, try the Matsusaka Beef Special Course at Matsusakagyu Yakiniku M Hanare. This place serves some of Japan’s finest Matsusaka beef, and as a first-timer, I was thrilled—and slightly intimidated. Luckily, our server Stanley was there to expertly guide me through the experience and prevent any rookie mistakes. 👏🏽
• The Service and Those Thoughtful Touches 🧑🏻🔧 The service here is in a league of its own. Since I booked earlier that day, I arrived to find a personalized, handwritten welcome message waiting at my table—an elegant touch that instantly made me feel at home. These little details, often overlooked, are what I truly love about high-end dining. Stanley took it from there, delivering attentive and friendly service throughout. He explained each cut of beef and how best to grill it, making sure I didn’t accidentally ruin a premium slice of Wagyu with beginner errors.
• The Matsusaka Beef Special Course 🐮🐄 This course is a meat lover’s dream. Each cut arrived with intense marbling, and grilling them tableside, I realized why Matsusaka beef is so legendary. The texture was melt-in-your-mouth perfect, and Stanley’s recommended sauces added the right balance to keep every bite exciting and satisfying without feeling overly rich.
• The Rest 🫡 The seasonal vegetables were a lovely complement, bringing a little freshness to the meal, and to finish, Stanley suggested a yuzu sorbet that was just the thing after such rich flavors.
• Final Verdict From the thoughtful welcome message to Stanley’s expert service and the unforgettable Matsusaka beef, this was a dining experience I’ll remember. Matsusakagyu Yakiniku M Hanare doesn’t just serve incredible food; it’s an example of how high-end dining should be. As the Terminator says...
Read moreWe walked in at 5pm when they opened to see if we could get seated, luckily they had one spot for 7pm (we did have a reservation booked 2 days later just in case). Situated on the 2nd floor, the restaurant was quaint but roomy. The food was absolutely amazing and decadent. I loved that you didn't need to get the same set between people because we were torn with what to get. What I loved the most about this place was the genuine warmth of the hostess, chef and servers throughout the whole experience. I feel their dedication to provide good services when I feel them taking in every feedback given through reviews. When I got there - they had explained the differences between menus, they had asked if we preferred rice before or after our last beef dish. These were mentioned in previous google reviews and it was amazing that they took it to heart and reflected this right away. Not wanting to remove any stars because I believe that they will take this feedback to heart, the only downside I had to the meal was a bit lack of attentiveness to water/beverages refill. I had finished my glass of sake early on and was more than happy to have more, but was never offered a top up. Similarly to the water, we had finished it halfway through and it wasn't until near the end of the meal when the server was topping up water. She had only realized when serving water at the table next to us, and was about to leave when she glanced at our table and saw that we didn't have any water. Mind you, we forgot to ask because every time the servers came, they always came with food and how to cook and at the meat, our focus was elsewhere. All in all, the service was still top notch - we loved the meat and the garlic rice which we will be coming back to eat...
Read moreThis is probably the best dining experience I had in Osaka and the best Matsusaka beef I had in my entire dining journey so far. I was blown away by the quality of beef here and we were just food coma after the meal.
First of all, you need to make your reservation here and they will connect with you via WhatsApp. We had to make an adjustment to our reservation and they were so kind to accommodate. We also appreciate that they have English-speaking servers.
Now for the meal, we got two Premium Matsusaka Beef course meal and believe me when I say that the sets are super worth the price. It’s just the real deal. And do not underestimate the food. Fatty and sinful but a must-eat when you are in Osaka. The char-grilled meat is just heavenly especially if you are a fan of fatty wagyu. Meat quality wise- this topped my list.
I would also like to highlight the topnotch service provided by their servers starting with a personalized thank you note. They also provided us with recommendations how to best enjoy each meat cut. The short rib and sirloin steak dipped in raw egg and soy sauce were so good. Melts in your mouth.
Capping the night with lemon sorbet on a personalized dessert plate with your choice of cartoon character was probably one of my favorites. I really enjoyed dining here and will come back when we’re back in Osaka. I highly...
