This was a horrible experience. From the moment we got in line until the end when we were paying, the entire process was inefficient and poorly managed. When we got in line, there was a man who stormed up the stairs with his family. His kids proceeded to push people in line aside and move to the front. Extremely rude, but I thought “they’re kids. The parents will correct this behavior.” NOPE. The father proceeded to do the same! He pushed past everyone in line ahead of him to go to the front. The employee saw this, so he went straight to me with his iPad to serve us first because he knew we had gotten their first. The employee then points to the iPad and asks “do you have a reservation?” To which we replied “no.” Immediately, the rude guest yelled “that’s my reservation! That’s mine!” …instead of politely asking the man to wait his turn, the employee turns to him and starts serving him! We had to wait another 10 minutes while this rude family went through the process of taking off their shoes, locking their stuff up, signing the consent, and going in. Although this is not entirely the staff’s fault, the rest of our experience wasn’t great either.
We asked specifically for a private room for 30 minutes so we could have baby pigs to ourselves, especially knowing that the rude family was in the main room. We didn’t want to have to deal with them during our paid experience.
During our short 30 minutes experience, the staff didn’t get the baby pigs into our area for a good 5-10 minutes…we thought “well maybe that 5-10 minutes wouldn’t count as part of the 30 considering we didn’t even have pigs for that time. Nope, they didn’t take that into consideration at all. Also, about 15 minutes into our time, a random employee came up to us and said “make sure you come out in 10 minutes. Oh and also if you want a deal, write us a google review.” I told her sure, but figured we would write it after our precious PAID 30 minute experience ends. She came back in 5 minutes and asked if we wrote the review. I told her, I will write it after the experience ends and she said “No. You have to write it right now!” Excuse me, but we are PAYING for the 30 minutes to play with the pig, not write reviews for your company. She was super persistent and would not leave until the review was done.
As if it couldn’t get any worse, at the end of the experience we go out to pay and there is another line. The employee tells us to wait in line in the general play area as the front desk is checking out another customer. Ok no problem. Except we end up waiting for 30 MINUTES just to check out…and while we’re in line to pay, I witness a pig urinate copiously on the carpet and none of the employees clean it up…well I guess that explains why the general area smells heavily like urine… To make matters worse, the rude guy from the beginning and his family are done playing and it’s time for them to pay. Instead of waiting in the back of the line like everyone else, he immediately tries to bypass everyone and go to the front of the line and says “we are done now”….yes, so is everyone else in line. The paying process came with another surprise as apparently there were extra fees that were not mentioned on their poster out front. At this point, we cannot wait to leave and don’t even want to argue with the staff. They also asked us where our paper was….well no one ever gave us a piece of paper. We tell them multiple times and they just keep asking for it…
The employees looked so stressed but none of them were efficiently doing anything. It seemed like they don’t talk to each other or do their job well. Overall, I would never come back nor would I recommend this to my friends...
Read moreWe were excited to interact with the micropigs especially having read the experience of other reviews. The mini pigs are adorable indeed and come hurrying to you for affection and naps on your laps. However, a few things to note when visiting here:
you can prebook your slot on Klook to get a confirmed slot on your preferred day/time.
you might like to arrive 10 minutes before your time slot to settle in, get your stuff in locker etc.
you will be offered a donut snack that have to be finished on the spot. No takeaways.
you will be asked to leave 5 minutes before your slot is up.
last but not least, while the micro pigs are adorable. Please try to keep the big pigs away from the kids. I had the big pig on my lap and it got really aggressive when the mini pigs want to snuggle in on my lap too. In trying to get rid of the other mini pigs to monopolise my lap, it bit the ear of one of the small pigs and my arm, causing bloody gash that cut through my sweater. It did hurt even after washing the cut. Had to ask staff for antiseptic and plaster. I am just glad it happened to me and not the kids. The big pig did want to sit on the kids lap but the kids were afraid of it after. We all left early once I got bitten.
It’s probably a one off accident but the big pigs kept showing signs of aggression to other pigs who got most of the attention. It wasn’t a pleasant experience for us. Please watch out for younger kids with the big pigs.
If we have to choose, we had a much time at Animeal cafe 5-10 minutes walk away , with options to feed birds, lama, rabbits, dogs and cats.
Unfortunately, the bite from the large pig is still healing as it went beyond the top skin and will most probably leave a small scar… :( please be careful. Hope the staff can manage the larger...
Read moreThis place could be fun to come once, but surprisingly those piggies are heavier than I first imagined, they are cute but there are way too many restrictions going in: you can't lift them, you can't hug them, you can't stand up (remain seated), you can't walk around, make taking pics of your companion difficult. Basically you are like paralyzed and just sit there and wait for the piggies to come to you, if they don't, you are sitting in an uncomfy cushion burning your time of appointment.
Staff wise they are friendly but since they don't speak or understand English at all, makes it difficult to request for help, and they are not very attentive to what happened on the piglets around you, if they are chewing your cushion or blanket. Not to mention they give you are very tiny blanket to cover your thighs, but once a piglet jumped onto you, you know that's useless in covering yourself, so be prepared to get messy and chaotic.
They have cutie tiny piglets but dedicated only for private room which costs more, the general admission plus the time there are already hell expensive, so however fun they are offering, one time is enough. There are similar shops in China from the same group, makes me wonder if it would be cheaper and easier to communicate going to that shops instead but like I said this place just come once in a life time you never would wanna come again, unless you have too much money to spend and enjoy being stepped on with a no. of piglets.
They asked you to give review on Google, tripadvisor, and Dianping that would deduct ¥100 per review (thanks a lot) and is not per person but an overall deduction so you can make a judgement call how reliable those short reviews are that boost...
