Update 9/19/2025: Dined in at 6pm tonight and omg, the sauce of the margherita is really vibrant and yummy when hot. I also got the mushroom and salami. The margherita is the star. I also got a bloody orange juice which was tart and refreshing. Highly recommend making a reservation and eat in rather than do a take out.
I got to the restaurant at 6:07pm, seven minutes after it opens for evening service. There is just one customer in the restaurant and the rest of the seats (about fifty of them) were empty (yes, EMPTY!) and the lady told me that I had to wait until 7:20pm, an hour later before she could take me if I wanted to dine in. I asked if I could order to go and that was okay. I got the margherita pizza.
The pizza dough was good and elastic. There’s a bit of charring on the crust. The red sauce is perfect, how it should be both in acidity and sweetness. The mozzarella was alright. I just wished there was more cheese though. And a drizzle of thyme scented extra virgin olive oil would have made it even better. Anyhow, Da ENO makes a very good napoletana pizza.
Dear pizza owner, Obviously, your pizza is delicious and you have more empty chairs and tables than the two of you can handle. Why not have an iPad at each table so that customers can order and it goes directly to you. That way, the lady can seat more customers and just deliver food? At Sukiya, you order at the table. I recommend you do the same since you currently don’t have staff to handle anything over ten people at a time in your restaurant even when there’s plenty of available seats. Another way to order is to scan an image and order from there for your table. It is a waste for you to go and take orders from customers at the table like you did today. I informed the chef of my dietary needs and he recommended the Melanzane con ricotta and the Ortolano. Both were simply amazing; the crust had the right amount of flavor, but it is all about the toppings which were fresh, flavorful and the marriage between the sauces, toppings, and crust was perfect. After sharing two well sized pies, I had enough room for another as they were not heavy at all. Instead of getting another, I left wanting more ensuring my next visit will be sooner than later. If you come by two wheeled transportation, there is parking garage behind the building as it is not recommended to park in front.
