Pizzeria Osteria la ROCCIA-ラ ロッチャ- — Restaurant in Osaka

My wife, baby, and myself were denied service early Saturday evening due to la Rocco’s being too busy. We were visiting from Guam, as Japan is our favorite getaway destination, and as such are somewhat familiar with Asian cultures as westerners (we live happily among them). We don’t speak Japanese but another kind couple ordering ‘to go’ we’re kind enough to translate for us. First they told us all tables were reserved. Only one was currently occupied, and the bar was also completely empty. We have been denied service before in Japan due to our ‘cultural’ differences, but it’s typically been in a busy place with a much more upscale atmosphere. I’m from the USA and the wife is from Italy. I was disturbed by the disrespect of them telling me they were too busy. Being from Texas, I’d rather another man tell me I’m just not welcome, instead of a blatant lie. However, I remained respectful and asked if we may stand outside and order a couple pizzas ‘to go’? Our kind translator very apologetically told me the man said that he is too busy. Where I’m from this would have been corrected with a ‘man to man talk’, but being respectful of the Japanese culture and mindful of my wife and child, I just thanked the translator and walked out. 23.11月某日　19時過ぎ入店。 おいしいお店があるので行きましょうとオススメしていただき来店しました。 まだ寒く無かったのでテラス席が空いていればテラス席に座っていいかお伺いしてお食事させてもらいました。

オーダーしたもの ・グラッパハイボール ・シャンディガフ ・本日のMIXベジサラダ ・ぷりっぷりのタコ石窯焼き ・自家製ポテトフライ　白トリュフ塩 ・パルミジャーナと(季節限定？)イチジクのピザをマテマテで ※マテマテとはハーフ＆ハーフの意味です。メニューにも説明が書いてあってかわいい😊

ピザの種類が特にたくさんありページも2ページあるのでピザには自信があるお店なのかな？と思いました！（こちらをお勧めされたのもピザがおいしくてとお伺いしていたので）

はじめて飲んだグラッパハイボールはマスカットとトニックのような少し大人の苦みを感じるお味で主張強すぎなくてお料理と一緒においしく飲めました。

MIXべジサラダは炒めたブロッコリーと新鮮なお野菜にバルサミコ酢かな？チーズなどがかかっていておいしかったです。

ぷりっぷりのタコは、メニュー名通り本当にぷりっぷりで噛めば噛むほど海の味がしてずっと噛んでいたい…と思うぐらいおいしくて何ならお代わりしたいぐらいでした。

ポテトも私の好きな感じでドンピシャでした。お酒のアテに最高です。特に皮の部分がサクサクでこの世のポテトはすべてこのポテトにして欲しいと思うぐらいです。

ピザは迷いに迷って、（イチジクは決めていたのですが）茄子が好きなのでパルミジャーナにしました。お味を半分こできるのもとっても魅力的です。 全部制覇したいぐらい、ピザはおいしくてイチジクの甘みがチーズとこんなに合うんだ！と感動しました。

お皿もそれぞれ、サラダにはアオムシ、タコにはタコ、ポテトにはレモンという感じで器のイラストもすごくかわいくって視覚からもお料理を楽しめる素敵なお店でした。

お店の味に誇りを持っておられるんだなと思う点もあったので個人的にはすごくいいお店に来れたと思いました。ありがとうございます、ごちそうさま...
