Salon de Mon cher — Restaurant in Osaka

I used to bring this overseas and my friends still rave about it. Not sure how it works but the prince roll (chocolate) is only in winter which I didn't know before. It's a little more bitter than I remembered and it's really not that outstanding. However, the dojima roll (plain with creme) was extremely good and the creme is just out of this world. I've tried their other desserts from the basement of supermarkets before and they were also amazing. Service at this location with a male staff was polite but cold. Very cold service. The sales ladies didn't greet me at all and was having a bad attitude the whole process. There were not that many choices inside and the taste was just so-so. Also, I came all the way in the rain only to find their "salon" was closed and only take-outs were possible, which they didn't say on their website I consulted before I went. All in all, I am puzzled. It is a very mediocre pastry shop for both the taste and the service. It does have a prime location and pretentiousness to be premium though. Had a tea set few years ago , it was an amazing dining experience! This time only purchased a limited edition marron roll for taste as it’s autumn time 😆 There’s a whole marron inside a roll , it was really unexpected 😂 for me it’s a bit sweeter than the original roll.
