This is a mid size hall/threater with 3 viewing levels. I came here for 2 nights of concerts and was lucky to get first floor seats. I was at the back of first floor, I found the viewing ok and acceptable because the hall is not so big. Only around 25 rows in total for first floor. I had friends on level 2 who did complain a bit about the viewing as the seats are at a steep angle and quite far as well. I can’t imagine what level 3 will be like! I found the seats very small and uncomfortable because they are too close to the people next to you. You are basically knocking each others elbows! As for the assigned area to buy concert merchandise, they just used the front entrance lobby for this concert which I found too small to fit all the people and the buying counters. Not enough space to separate the concert goods queues, the cd buying queue and then, the credit card paying queue - very confusing where to line up (especially for a foreigner!) Also, if you come early to line up for concert merchandise, please keep in mind they set the long queue in the park opposite the building which has no cover! Bring an umbrella for both...
Read more⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible Venue with Amazing Potential! As a local musical artist working nearby at Roots Hostel, I’m thoroughly impressed by the Orix Theater. The venue offers an excellent sound quality that would be perfect for performances. Located in the heart of Osaka at Shinmachi 1-chome, this renovated theater provides a versatile space for various performances from classical to pop. The theater’s central location near Honmachi Station makes it incredibly accessible. I’m particularly excited about the possibility of performing here in 2025 and am inspired by its potential as a cultural hub for artistic expression. The renovated space, originally the Osaka Welfare Pension Hall, has a unique charm that would be incredible for live music. Highly recommend this venue to fellow artists and music lovers! Can’t wait to potentially grace its stage in the...
It is a little far from Yotsubashi Subway Station. It takes about 6 or 7 minutes to walk there. It is straight north, so you will not get lost. There are also a few people who take a cab. The theater is clean and the seats on the third floor are okay, but if someone with a high seat height sits in front of you, you might have a hard time. The seats are tight, with little space between them and the seats in front of them. Although there is one elevator, there is no escalator, which may be difficult for those who have poor mobility. Also, on the way back to the exit, we were kind of squeezed. I felt it was a little dangerous. Also, the men's restroom was only on the second floor, which was a bit inconvenient, although I understand that there are many female audiences. You cannot go inside until the opening time, but there is a shady area in the park just in front of the theater, so you can kill some time. Also, I was bothered by the loudness of the staff selling...
