This is my first time here. This Indian restaurant is located on the corner of Tenmabashi Avenue and Omotemon Street. It is run by a family from northern India and serves authentic Indian food. The restaurant has about 10 tables for two, and can accommodate a large number of people depending on the combination. Since this is my first time here, I decided to eat naan and curry, so I ordered the dinner special set, which includes naan, two types of curry, chicken tikka, salad, and even chai. The food was served in about 5 minutes. The naan was hot, slightly sweet, and chewy, and was delicious even if eaten alone. Read moreAbsolutely delicious. Hit the spot after a long day of traveling and walking around. Great to have a vegetarian option so close to my hotel, too (I’m not a strict vegetarian, just try to eat more veggies as often as possible).
The family who owns and runs it was also very nice.
Ended up chatting with another patron who was also there for the first time, and who also really enjoyed the meal. Will probably be eating here at least a few more times before my trip is done....

The chef was incredibly friendly and thoughtful, even tailoring the dishes and spice levels to suit our kids. The service was outstanding from start to finish, and once the food arrived, we loved every single dish we tried. Honestly, when we compared it to some of our favorite indian restaurants back in the U.S., this one would easily be at the top...
