Tabutchan — Restaurant in Osaka

I was recommended this spot by a local and it didn't disappoint. I was lucky to get an seat inside the place is usually pretty packed, the place looks like it had been open since the 80's. It did give it a gritty and cool atmosphere.

Before even seeing the menu I knew what I was going to have as this was the spot to get it, Tantamen I asked as politly as I could with my bad Japanese.

Server looked at me and asked me if I was okay with spicy.

It didn't take many minutes before I had a steaming portion of tantamen infront of me. Nothing to fancy just back to basic tantamen and it was delicious!

I'm surely going to eat at this spot everytime I come to Osaka. Do not let the gritty exterior or interior scare you away from this spot, as you surely will miss out on a great affordable meal!

とても美味しい！This was the best ramen I have ever had in my life. We stumbled upon this restaurant looking for a good ramen place. I knew it would be good when I saw the empty bowls of soup from the diners outside. We had a short wait but the waiter was super efficient to get us in. There is no English menu so it may seem intimidating for someone who does not know any Japanese. I know a good amount, but even if you don’t you can navigate the menu as it is a simple choice between how spicy you want the soup to be. The ramen that will change your life, change your day, and make you whole again. We found this place via Google maps searching for Tantanmen ramen and this did not disappoint. The waiter warned us it was spicy before sitting down, but when you're looking for Tantanmen, spicy is what you crave. The broth was reasonably spicy but well balanced.
