Tenpei — Restaurant in Osaka

Came here at 18:15 on a Monday night and they only had counter seats available. Ordered 20 gyouza which costs 1200 yen. The good was they were made in front of you and cooked to order so no frozen ingredients - also very crispy which made them ever so appealing.... the not so good is they are extremely salty and oily - after the crisp bite you get a mouth full of salty and oily juice. 20 was more than enough for me. Overall it's OK but honestly there not all the rave I hear...

Trust me, this restaurant is one of the most overrated one in Japan I have ever dined.

-The food were average. -The price were not low considering the quality of the food. -Payment could only be in cash. -The service level was mediocre-they forgot to give me side dish! -I ordered a high-ball, which is a placed in very small cup.

The whole thing did not live up to the rating of 4 star.

You're required to order 20 gyoza upon sitting. But that's no issue as these are freshly made and delicious. This seems to be a family run shop. You can see the owners hand make the gyoza as you eat.

There's an English menu. But the only things you can order here are gyoza, pickled cucumber and radish and drinks.

The design of the place makes me think of the showa era as it's old.
