Bikkuri Donkey — Restaurant in Otaru

This was an interesting find. We just stumbled upon this place and three have never tried the hamburger steak meal we keep seeing throughout our travels in Japan so why not try it here. We were looking for a breakfast place that served coffee earlier in the morning. Japan doesn’t seem to have many places that serve breakfast and coffee early morning so this place fit the bill. Tried the breakfast hamburger steak with eggs, rice and coffee. The meal tasted fine and the coffee was excellent. They offer free coffee refills so that was a bonus with breakfast. I do recommend this place for breakfast and definitely for the coffee. They even sell the coffee in individual packages to take home or for souvenirs. Not many place available to eat past 5 or 6pm. This place is one of 3 places i know.

This one is very family like place. Also themed like playful fantasy. The food is specialized in hamburg or minced meat fried into burger like.

They make variety of it, some with curry sauce. Othet with cheese, then cream cheese, tomato sauce, pasta, steak, barbeque sauce, mushroom sauce and soooooo on.

First time trying Bikkuri donkey since this outlet is right opposite my hotel and in front of the Otaru canal and got a seat with window view of the canal. Interesting interior deco reminiscing some old warehouse. Ordered a breakfast mini hamburg with Japanese yam and set comes with a choice of drink.
