Saw lots of good review and wanted to try something local so we came for dinner!

The restaurant had nostalgic vibes but is super clean the owner was a grandma and she was casually taking ingredients from the fridge to cook which made it feel like home. It was interesting looking at the interior decor and obvious that this store has been around for the longest time. We ordered the yakisoba that had very fragrant prawn taste (must order!) and lots of vege (much needed) and also ordered a fish which came bigger than we expected (though slightly dry).

Honestly, I had no idea what this restaurant serves. I gave it a visit because it was the only restaurant at that time (15:00). There, the food was good, master was kind, and atmosphere was welcoming.

We ordered hamburger teishoku (served w/ steamed rice) and ankake yakisoba.

I am a big fan of ordinary yakisoba, but had never tried it before. Gee, it was good. Whole different one compared to an ordinary one. Hard to explain - all I can say is that it is way better than how it looks....

Two nice old ladies work here, no english. I went in looking for tonkatsu ramen but misunderstood when they said it wasnt on the menu. They still made me a custom katsu ramen which was crazy good however due to the misunderstanding i accidentally ordered an additional salmon bowl which was also super fresh and nice. They let me take away the chicken katsu cause i couldnt finish everything. Super cozy joint, my soul is healed, will be taking my mates here. 5 stars...

While in Otaru, we had the opportunity to savor a delicious portion of chicken curry at a restaurant run by a charming Japanese couple. The welcoming atmosphere significantly elevated our dining experience. We were met with a gracious welcome and attentive hospitality during our visit. Selecting the chicken curry, we discovered it to be the most exquisite we have encountered in our five years of traversing Japan. The taste was flawlessly harmonious. Highly recommended
