The total wait time was an hour. The waitress asked us to wait without informing us that we needed to join the waitlist using a QR code. And we were served after a group that arrived later than us. The waitress was unfriendly. We arrived around 6:30pm, after we waited for almost an hour, I asked for a menu to check which items were sold out, she asked (with a loud voice) me to scan the QR code for the menu. After I explained my intention, she told me (with a loud voice) what was unavailable in a manner that felt very unrespected. They served “Red” sea urchin without confirming (or notifying) us, which costs an additional ¥1,000 per dish. We only realized this after checking the bill at the end of our meal. When paying, I told the waitress I would use Mastercard. She asked, “Alipay?” despite what I had already said. Even after leaving the restaurant and standing outside the building, I could still hear her yelling “Mastercard” again… Imagine how loud she was so that I can hear her after leaving the restaurant...
The food was incredible, but the experience was overshadowed by the poor service. This is not a cheap place (I spent ¥13,200 for two people) and the customers deserve a better service. We decided to come here becuz of YouTuber RUI’s video showed that the food quality is fine. But we experience bad service attitude this time.
When we arrived, a female staff member behind the four-person table near the entrance said "sho sho machi kuda sai."
Since I’ve heard this phrase often in Japan, I knew it meant "please wait a moment before being seated." In Australia, it is also very common for a staff member to guide customers to their seats, so we patiently waited at the entrance.
Although there were many empty seats, no one attended to us for about five minutes.
Eventually, we had to take the initiative to ask the cashier, and only then did she lead us to our table.
Later, while we were seated, we noticed that at around 6:48 PM, two female customers arrived at the entrance. The same staff member who had told us to wait but ignored us refused to serve them,*simply saying "close."

Everything on the menu looked so good that we had a hard time choosing. I initially wanted the uni and tuna bowl bit their tuna was sold out. So I settled for my second choice which was snow crab and uni! It was delicious!!!!
Partner chose the ikura with uni. We ordered a small abalone to share as well.
Uni was so fresh, am just salivating at the thought of it. Would see if I can squeeze in another visit before leaving hokkaido.
