The crepes were tasty but the service was terrible. When we arrived there was just one older woman preparing food for another customer. She didn't look at us or acknowledge us at all. We waited for several minutes, and then a younger woman came and took our order. We ordered two crepes, but the price that she told us was 1 yen more than it should have been. Our crepes were 610 yen each but she charged us 1221 yen. When we queried the extra yen she got quiet and didn't talk to us anymore. We tried to pay, but she would take our money, so we placed our money on the counter and waited. After several minutes she explained that the extra yen was a tax. We didn't believe her (why would there be a 1 yen tax??), but we didn't care, we just wanted crepes. We tried again to pay, but she ignored us again. Eventually the older woman came over and told us as well that there is a 1 yen tax. We told her it's fine, and finally the young woman took our money.

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting a tea shop located in Tanukikoji Street in Sapporo. While I'm not usually a fan of bubble tea, this place introduced me to a truly special and unique variation. The cheese foam was light and frothy, creating a creamy and slightly salty contrast to the sweetness of the tea. It added a unique depth of flavor and a velvety texture to each sip. The combination of the matcha-infused tea, the chewy pearls, and the creamy cheese foam created a harmonious balance of flavors that I had never encountered before.
If you happen to find yourself in Sapporo, I highly recommend visiting this shop and trying their matcha...
