Cafe Ranban — Restaurant in Sapporo

I went to this café today and ordered a Blue Mountain and a New Caledonia. My father got hot chocolate and milk tea.

We also got a chocolate chiffon cake, an orange cake and a cheesecake.

Personally, I didn't like the cake much but it could just be personal preference. The cake felt dry but that's okay. I came for the coffee.

This café offers quite a lot of coffee bean types and will give you information on the coffee you picked!

I loved the coffee. The Blue Mountain brew tasted close to UCC's and the New Caledonia's low caffeine content was a great way to end my dining experience without any fear of palpitations due to a higher heart rate from too much caffeine.

I've been reading reviews about this café and I saw that other people said that the staff were rude. In my experience, they were courteous and accommodating. Also, the waitress who looked like she was around 20 years old was very pretty. ✨️

She also had a very soft voice which went well with the soft music playing in the background and the comfortable atmosphere of the cafe.

If you're serious about coffee, Cafe Ranban in Sapporo is a must-visit. They boast an extensive selection of coffee beans, each with a unique roasting style. Be prepared, some premium blends cost upwards of 800 yen per cup, but they're worth every yen. The cafe is quite compact, often getting crowded. There are 2 storey in this place. The 2nd storey is counter seats and the service of staff is very good. The wait for the food and coffee to be served is long but worth it. Do come early as i see a queue around 10am plus. The coffee is served in pretty cup which is Aritayaki design (blue print in porcelain). They use different blends for different brews.
