炭火 えん 和牛海鮮BBQ — Restaurant in Shirahama

While waiting for the sun to set, we popped into this lovely cafe cum bbq spot. Paying only ¥1000 each for a pint of icy Sapporo beer and a choice of fried delights, we opted for small baskets of fried chicken and fried garlic prawns to go with our beer. We hung out for a couple of hours, enjoying the beer and good conversation, with relaxing beach tunes in the background. All we can say is that this place comes highly recommended for the atmosphere, wonderful service and warm hospitality. The owner personally greeted us as we left and offered to take our group photo. After watching the sun sett behind Engetsu island we settled down to what was a really fun place, and way to eat. My two kids enjoyed putting the food onto the BBQ and tending to it. It was nice to eat outdoors and not under an aircon unit for once! Be advised the venue is by the roadside, but there really aren't many cars and it all added to the fun of it all.

Something unexpected. A wonderful dinner set with an amazing firework show impressed me a lot. The great food, great vibes, and great location made this a memorable experience. The owner's thoughtfulness made this trip remarkable for me. The oyster and meat combination set is highly recommended. A unique oyster cooking technique elevated the dish to another level.
