This is the most adorable and delicious place to eat in Shirahama in my opinion. The couple are happy to serve you and listen to what you'd like. My friend ordered fried chicken which was super crispy and tender on the inside (highly recommend) (also in the picture there should be 1-2 more pieces of chicken but my friend ate them so quickly). As for myself I ordered fresh grapefruit and omurice. It seemed like they were out of grapefruit but the owner was so nice to go out and get some for me. And as for the omurice, it wasn't on the menu but I saw it in a previous review and the owner also kindly accommodated. Once again the omurice's sweetness wasn't too overpowering, just the right amount of taste.
Once again I highly recommend this place if you're coming to Shirahama. Also they have a really cool collection of old Japanese bills if you're interested...

We shared the baked cheese (simple starter), ahyejo of Kuroshio served with baguette (delicious especially soaked with the baguette), fried chicken (hot and crispy outside, tender inside and well seasoned), Kumano beef steak bowl (well seasoned and served with generous portions of beef slices) - everything was scrumptious and while the portions didn’t look large, it was more than enough for a family of 4. And the owner kindly whipped up omu rice (not on menu) as it was a quiet evening and the children requested for it. Totally enjoyable meal....
