Simple, functional and no frills restaurant. The owner ( perhaps) manages the whole place single handedly. Food is absolutely fresh and made after you order.
The nachos were also fried after we ordered and the guacamole ( chunky avocado’s) was superb. The salsa is also fresh and made there itself. We enjoyed this a lot.
The garlic soup, served hot, we ordered is a light broth perhaps tastes almost like the onion soup with garlic juliennes added. Nice way to begin the meal.
The taquitos are pork sausages rolled in a nacho and pretty good too. A good change .
The salad was fresh, the Japanese salad dressings are so refreshing .
We ordered the Chicken Tacos and Enchiladas ( steaming hot). Both were pretty good too. Keep in mind you...
Read moreThe best Mexican food place in Takayama! OK, probably the only one, but still very good food. Nice varied menu, good drinks and nice atmosphere. Keep in mind, like many a small restaurant in Japan, this is a one man operation - the owner takes the orders, cooks the food, serves it, settles the check and then cleans up. We enjoyed our visits there and I highly...

We've come here several times during our stay in Takayama and will miss it when we've gone! Caters to...
