At the end of a hot day, when the craving for a beer struck, I stumbled upon a beer stand while searching for a good place. I decided to pop in, and it was absolutely the right choice. The atmosphere of the place and the staff were both welcoming, making it a comfortable spot to hang out.
The beer selection includes around 10 taps of domestic and international craft beers, available in sizes of M and L. For those who know their preferences, you can choose your favorite style of beer. And if you're unsure or want to try various options, they also offer tasting sets.
Menu: For the first drink, I went with the recommended ale, "FIRST LOVIN'/AL X HIMITSU BEER". It was easy to drink, light, with a subtle sweetness – a gentle choice perfect for rejuvenating a tired body in the heat. The second drink was "MANATEE" from HIMITSU BEER, rich in both flavor and aroma with abundant fruity notes. It was a delicious, softly crafted beer that even women would find enjoyable.
I enjoyed a YUIUMApork Frank as a snack, which was tightly packed and juicy, offering a delicious flavor – a perfect accompaniment for beer.
Budget: Two beers (M size), one snack
Around 2500 yen.
Access: A 15-minute walk from JR Takayama Station, located on Honda Machi Street Shopping District.
The seating arrangement consists of standing counters for 3-4 people, and along the wall and windows, there are tables that can accommodate about 6-7 people. Additionally, there are tables and chairs outside the shop, allowing you to enjoy your drink while observing the town...
Read moreWe visited as 3 English-speaking dudes with our superpowered travel agent. Why superpowered? Because the place was closed (some sort of local business lunch/dinner thing) but she made a phone call? Or talked to someone on the street? Or made a sacrifice to an ancient god? And suddenly it was open! We ordered 2 beer flights and got to taste all of the beers they offered. They were amazing. We tried each beer and then, to finish the servings, we each picked our favorite and 'least favorite' and I am not lying when I say that the 'least favorites' would have easily been favorites in any other location. I also ordered a soda because I was very dehydrated during the Japanese summer with lots of walking, and even the soda is custom made on demand. Amazing. Highly recommended, although you may need a sorcerer travel...
Read moreA good place to taste beer with a unique taste. Were tasted 3 flavors of beers- banana, shino and eclipse aka 12% strength. All beers had a really expressive taste. What is very interesting that 12% beer strength was not felt at all. Very pleasant service, the person who served us spoke English. It was also possible to feel the person working behind the bar loves what he does. As we were the last customers before closing time, the bar was getting ready to close and it was interesting to observe how carefully the beer bottling equipment is washed and maintained. It gave us a sense of trust and security that we were getting a top...
