Decided to check Ninja Cafe out on a whim, and I'm very glad I did. I was a little apprehensive that I was out of place at first as it was mainly children inside, but that didn't matter! The staff members were super friendly and encouraging every step of the way, and made me feel very welcome (especially with the wooden clappers~). I did the Sasuke course including the sword training, blowdarts, and shuriken throwing and it was honestly exciting to try everything hands-on for the first time. The female staff, Aika-chan, was very patient and energetic when showing me the ropes. She also took great pictures! I had alot of fun learning from her and trying out the well-thought out "tests" after each section. Feedback-wise, I felt the course was a little shorter than the advertised duration. It would have been great to have more time to try things out if the crowd permits, because throwing shuriken can be quite addictive! All in all, highly recommended for anyone visiting Takayama!

Visited this Ninja Cafe today!!! The atmosphere here is just so welcoming and fun. The Shuriken, Blow darts, and VR experience are one of the kind. If you are feeling fancy, dress up as a Ninja, get some drinks, and throw some shriken to blow off some steam. 10/10 Highly Recommend * They have English menu and explains the process in English for you! Edit: The staff there is absolutely amazing. The lady ninja Aika and Mr. Ninja in practice Haruto made our experience unforgettable. We spent over an hour enjoying ourselves and the conversation. I will return to visit this place

Amazing experience, for kids and adults. The ninja guide was fun and interactive. They were very kind and explained everything with patience and humor. We had ninja outfits and we did activities with swords, shurikens and blow darts. We also went on a scavengers hunt. Definitely worth it and we would do it again, as they have other activities too. Coffee and drinks were very good. Thank you so much to all the ninja crew, it was a fun immersion into Japanese ninja world. :)

This was SUCH fun. My husband and I are from Australia and this was a unique experience for us. We chose to dress up in the Ninja costumes. The staff were amazing. They took heaps of photos for us on our phones and were excellent in instructing us how to perform the drawing of the samurai sword, the down chop, stepping forward with a swing, stepping backwards with a swing, a stab and finishing with one swish to remove the ‘blood’. The throwing of metal stars and blowing of darts at targets was fabulous. Five star. Would...
