Excellent restaurant, delicious food and lovely owners, highly recommend Don’t be put off by the website as doesn’t do the restaurant justice. Perfectly cooked Hida Beef steak, all other dishes delicious too, we had the chicken, steak, fish & pasta, as well as sides of potato chip fries & caesar salad and blueberry tart for desert. Best beef fillet we've eaten in Japan, probably one of the best we've ever eaten. We were looking for a place to eat around 8pm on a rainy night, and after being turned down from 6 or 7 other places which were closing down, the lovely owners let us in. We had a lovely meal here on our last night in Takayama. It has a bistro feel, and they provide the excellent Japanese steak with French style of presentation. The sirloin steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. They do offer a set menu which is good value, however we wnent a la carte.
