The place looks pleasant and traditional. However, the person who served us wasn't rude, but rather ill-tempered. I think if he's in customer service, he should be more friendly. Fantastic small eatery with seating inside and absolutely delicious Hida beef food. We ordered everything on the menu: hida beef sushi, skewers, croquettes and stew. What a delicacy! All is freshly made in front of your eyes and compared to others places the quality of the meat is higher and tastier. Recommended...

This little gold mine of a street food eatery in Takayama City (near the old town) is just the best you will get anytime any day. The Hida Beef Sushi is succulent, the Hida Beef skewers are tender and flavoursome and his Japanese Croquettes are divine. Love this place. I cannot recommend strongly enough.
