🇬🇧Even if you speak Japanese, I'd recommend the English menu unless you're familiar with Gifu cuisine, as a lot of the dishes are local. The English menu had pictures. 💴Priced reasonably! The prices on the English menu are not current, so please refer to the Japanese menu for prices. Food review: Portions are large! 🍜Betcon ramen: a Gifu specialty. You can get soy sauce or miso broth (soy sauce is the original). It's a bit spicy and there's lots of garlic!!! You get 2 raw eggs to mix in, they cook up a bit in the hot soup. 🍥Garlic fish cake: so good! If you like fish cakes and garlic, you will like this! If you've never had a fish cake, this is a good one to try!! It had a nice squish and chew, and a fresh taste. 💁🏻‍♂️The owner is really super kind and told me he recently started studying English.

MOTO is amazing. This was the BEST Gyoza we have had in Japan. We had to order another because it was SO GOOD. Ramen was also 10/10. Would recommend anyone who is in Takayama goes and visits! Moto was so friendly, he had an English menu for us to order from, and he made a special effort to use google translate to communicate easily with us. I loved this evening and would give him 5 stars!!!!!!! Thank you moto. We will come...
