This restaurant is genuinely amazing. First of all, the food was so good and so cheap for what you get! I came here with my family, we got the rice bowl with hida beef and an omelette (really recommend this one) and the restaurant also gave us a free kind of miso soup as a side dish, which was absolutely delicious! The service was also very good. The food didn’t take long and the staff was incredibly welcoming! The lady wore a beautiful kimono and was so kind to us, also very foreign-friendly. She even offered to take a picture of us and led us to the door. When we left the restaurant she was still waving us goodbye. I felt so warmed because of her and left with a big smile on my face. The sweetest woman I have met in Japan up to now!!! The menu had translation and various delicious dishes and drinks for a very cheap/affordable price. It’s a small Japanese style restaurant with a bar, so it is also possible to make a reservation. l was so surprised this restaurant was not crowded at all, just one Japanese family next to us, so there was a cozy atmosphere. I have noticed this restaurant is not very known too, so there are barely any tourists, just locals! It definitely deserves more recognition though for all the effort and quality. I had such a great experience and honestly nothing to complain about. When I come back to Takayama myself, I will definitely visit again. Too underrated restaurant, please check it out!!!!
Thank you for your best service and kindness. I hope...

We needed some yummy food for ourselves and our 2 yr old daughter whose extremely picky. They were able to serve us and even cut up our daughters food into bite sized pieces. The chef and waitress are super friendly! The waitress is learning english and loves interacting with tourists. Highly recommend with wonderful hosts and...

You might need a bit of patience, but surprisingly, the food comes out quickly—and it’s totally worth the wait. The whole experience feels personal and authentic. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a cozy, local spot with great...
