Jingoro ramen was recommended to us by our hostel owner. We really wanted to eat ramen for dinner. We went there at 9:00 PM and we didn’t have to stand in line. All the people eating were locals. Takayama is a small town and most of the restaurants are closed at night. It was my first time to see a ramen shop that is being run by ladies. We got the big bowl for ¥900. Soup is light type, yet very flavourful. The pork slices comes with a layer of thick fats. Straight, thin noodles this well with the soup. Tried with local beer and it works so heavenly.
Too bad, they don't have onsen (seasoned) eggs. Only hard...
