I stopped by this Indian restaurant and had a really enjoyable experience from start to finish. The food was the highlight, and it left me feeling both satisfied and impressed. I ordered dal masala along with garlic naan, regular naan, and two pieces of samosa, and everything came out hot, fresh, and flavorful. The dal masala was rich and hearty, with that earthy lentil base layered with spices that gave it depth without being overwhelming. You could tell it had been cooked down properly, because it had that smooth consistency where the flavors really come together. Each spoonful was comforting and warming, the kind of dish you could eat on its own and still feel completely content.
The naan was excellent too, both the garlic and the plain version. The garlic naan had that bold kick from the garlic and was soft and chewy in the middle, while the plain naan had a nice balance of texture and taste. Both were fresh and made the dal masala even more enjoyable.
The samosas were another highlight of the meal. They came out golden and crisp, with a shell that wasn’t greasy at all. The inside was generously filled with spiced potatoes and peas, delivering that classic flavor combination that makes samosas so satisfying. They did serve it with a kind of ketchup-style sauce, but I wasn’t the biggest fan of that pairing. Personally, I would have preferred something more traditional like mango chutney or tamarind sauce to complement the spices. Even so, the samosas themselves were tasty and filling.
To make things even better, the staff were incredibly kind and thoughtful. The guy working that day was genuinely friendly and welcoming, the kind of service that makes you want to come back. He even brought me oolong tea and a fresh salad on the house, which was such a nice gesture. It’s little touches like that that make a place stand out—it shows they’re not just serving food, they’re trying to create a good experience for their customers. The free tea especially hit the spot alongside the spices in the meal.
If I had one other small wish, it would be for them to add chana masala to the menu. It’s one of my go-to dishes when I eat Indian food, and it would have been great to see it offered here. Still, with the dal masala being as tasty as it was, I didn’t feel like I missed out too much.
The overall vibe of the restaurant was relaxed and welcoming. It’s not overly fancy, but it’s clean and comfortable, the kind of place you can enjoy a meal without feeling rushed. The atmosphere matches the warmth of the staff, and that goes a long way. Service was quick but not rushed, and everything came out in good timing.
All in all, this spot delivered delicious food and genuine hospitality. The dal masala, naan, and samosas were fantastic, and the unexpected extras like tea and salad made the whole experience even better. Even with my small wishes for chutney, tamarind sauce, and chana masala, I walked away happy and already thinking about coming back. A great spot for tasty Indian food with kind...
