It's worth going out of your way to visit this sweet little coffee shop tucked away in historic Yanesen, at the start of the snake street. The drip iced coffee was incredibly refreshing. The shop owner shared that she roasts the beans herself, and the careful craftsmanship is so apparent in each cup. Moreover, she was extremely kind and welcoming to us-- it was so lovely to chat with her. I hope we can come back again on our next trip to Japan.
Although it's only a short walk from the subway station and Nezu Shrine, it seems like most tourists don't end up exploring here, but I think it is well worth a visit, for a beautiful and peaceful walk through a historically significant residential neighbourhood. Kuniko was so kind and welcoming! She told us about the authentic Charles Schultz drawing of Snoopy hanging in the back and gave us plenty of background on Kona drippers as well as recommendations for other coffee spots.
We had a great time drawing and enjoying the coffee at this spot. I will definitely come back as soon as I can...
