It's worth going out of your way to visit this sweet little coffee shop tucked away in historic Yanesen, at the start of the snake street. The drip iced coffee was incredibly refreshing. The shop owner shared that she roasts the beans herself, and the careful craftsmanship is so apparent in each cup. Moreover, she was extremely kind and welcoming to us-- it was so lovely to chat with her. I hope we can come back again on our next trip to Japan.

Although it's only a short walk from the subway station and Nezu Shrine, it seems like most tourists don't end up exploring here, but I think it is well worth a visit, for a beautiful and peaceful walk through a historically significant residential neighbourhood. Just please be extra respectful of the locals' privacy and space, since you are essentially...

Such a special place! There are a lot of good coffee shops in Tokyo and Aoyama Coffee is the BEST of all! An extraordinary selection of beans, with each cup individually brewed, the coffee is truly extraordinary. But it's the lovely owner, Kuniko, and the surrounding neighborhood that makes Aoyama Coffee so wonderfully special. Just one block off the main road, this tiny shop feels miles away from the chaos and congestion of Tokyo. In my opinion, a PERFECT DAY IN TOKYO begins by picking up breakfast (a bagel from Le Bage , or a pastry from Les Inities) then walking 2 minutes to Aoyama coffee and letting Kuniko select the coffee bean that will best compliment your breakfast (she encourages outside food). Then....sit back and enjoy! Sip your coffee, nibble your breakfast and watch local...

This is a cozy and quiet neighborhood coffee spot that’s a bit out of the way but a definite must-visit for any coffee lover.

The brown sugar jelly topped with roasted soybean powder (kinako/injeolmi) was so incredibly good I couldn’t believe my taste buds. It really hit the spot on a hot July day! My friend and I both got hot drip coffees (Tanzania + Hebichimichi) and they were super well-balanced and delicious.

Kuniko was so kind and welcoming! She told us about the authentic Charles Schultz drawing of Snoopy hanging in the back and gave us plenty of background on Kona drippers as well as recommendations for other coffee spots.

We had a great time drawing and enjoying the coffee at this spot. I will definitely come back as soon as I can...
