Athlete Cafe Tokyo — Restaurant in Tokyo

This is an interesting little café in Chiyoda-Ku, not far from the moat of the imperial palace. We stumbled across it one Saturday afternoon after we went to the Marubeni Gallery. The menu is generally healthy, and I liked the fact that the calories are displayed on the menu for each item. You essentially get to choose different items to (carb, protein, protein, vegetable) create your own set, and the prices are reasonable. My main protein was what I thought was a pork ginger stir fry, but it was more like a cold meat salad (intentionally served cold as I discovered) which honestly was not the best way to serve the dish, but I through my meat in the miso soup that came with it and it sort of fixed the situation. Overall, this is a nice little healthy-esque café that is worth trying if you want a calorie conscious meal. 東京体育館内のジムとプールがある建物内にあるカフェ&食事店です。ジム前にちょっと休憩するのに館内にカフェがあるのはありがたい。カレー、ピラフ、サンドイッチや各種ドリンクがあり、屋内と屋外に席がある。

カフェと言ってもショッピングモール駐車場に車で出張に来ているバン＝キッチンのような出張スタイル。料理は業務用食品と思われます。 しかし、このカフェの良さは料理のレベルではなく、利便性です。ジムでの運動の前後にちょっと食べたかったりドリンクを飲みながら雑談したい私のような人には、施設内にカフェがあるのはとても嬉しい。
