Unfortunately, this was the most disappointing pancake experience I’ve had, and the first time I genuinely regretted spending both my time and money.
I waited around 30 minutes in line outside—which isn’t bad compared to other hyped spots—but sadly, that was the only positive. Once inside, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming and chaotic. One overwhelmed staff member was responsible for everything: cleaning tables, greeting guests, preparing drinks, and taking orders. As a result, customers have to walk up to the counter to place and collect their orders, which makes the whole experience feel disorganized and impersonal.
The seating wasn’t much better—just a few regular tables and a round bench with low, small tables that were uncomfortable to eat at, requiring you to hunch over awkwardly.
I ordered the pistachio pancakes, which were not only overpriced but also disappointing in quality. They serve just two small pancakes for the price that other shops typically charge for three. The taste was bland, the portion underwhelming, and the texture lacked the fluffiness you’d expect.
All in all, between the poor atmosphere, awkward service setup, uncomfortable seating, and overpriced, underwhelming food, I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a satisfying...
Read moreFood was top notch. I'm a bingsu expert lol and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality.
We ordered the classic bingsu (don't remember the name exactly, I believe it was Injeolmi bingsu which is the signature), and the strawberry pancake.
For the bingsu (shaved ice), the bingsu is covered with honey-dipped chestnuts and dried apricots and topped with a scoop of black sesame ice cream. Accompanied by three little ramekins containing injeolmi powder (multi-grain), mixed grain and nurungji (scorched rice or crunchy rice), the bingsu size is perfect for foodie duo. Oh, lastly, there comes a teeny tiny jar of condensed milk. Make sure to thinly drizzle it all over your bingsu to make it mildly sweet, right on point.
The strawberry pancake was amazing too. Accompanied by fresh strawberries. Cream is so soft the pancake looks like wearing a hat of clouds.
I liked the interior and decoration but I give the atmosphere 3 stars only as I found the K-pop music too incongruous for the calming yellowish beige colour theme of the interior. Jazz or classical music would be a better complement...
Read moreCute Korean style coffee / dessert shop. Me and my friend went there for a tiny sweet breakfast with the opening hour and it was great, we enjoyed the chill atmosphere. The place is beautifully decorated, the guy who serves the food is nice and patient, the food wasn't amazing, in fact we came back to Bam BI coffee not because we got crazy about the food, but because the place is nice to take photos at, so we did :) First time we took the only pancake option the have, lotus, it was ok... not so good compared other places we tired, also the drink wasn't amazing, we had coffee with cookies. Second time we came back mostly for photos but of course we wanted to try our other thing the place has to offer. We took two amazing drinks, one was the hot chocolate and the other one I forgot the name we took it as cold version, both was heaven in our mouth! The food we chose was the Korean dessert style, we didn't like it. Thank you, definitely recommend to check this...
