I asked a local friend who grew up in Nippori for a recommendation in this area. He recommended here. The tan-tan-men is their specialty and very delicious. The broth is rich and light at the same time. The gyoza are also good but not as good as the noodles. The noodles are all hand made in the shop and you can see and hear the chefs stretching and pounding the noodles out as you eat. I stuck with the DanDan and it was awesome. This place reminds me of the kind of places where you'd frequent for lunch if you worked in the area and wanted a quick hearty meal.
I hope this place does not get inundated with us tourists. Loved it.
