Udon Oniyanma Nippori — Local services in Tokyo

Ate here two days ago. Needed some warm soup and udon noodles for a cold rainy day.

Ordering is via a kiosk outside the shop. No English menu, but google translate works just fine.

What we ordered: 2 large warm soup tempura udon. Thought it was prawn tempura but it’s mixed ingredient tempura with one prawn, one chicken and one okra. Not bad but I find that the texture of the udon noodles could be improved. Have tasted smoother ones even at some random udon shop. 1 special large warm soup tempura udon. There’s a mix of everything in here, not too bad.

All in, it was a convenient place to rest and refuel that is just a stone’s throw from Nippori Station. Would still...

Udon noodle specialty restaurant in front of Nippori Station. Nippori is also home to many excellent stand-up noodle stores, making it an enviable town for noodle lovers. This is not a standing style udon bar. you can have udons at tables or stools.

So Sanuki taste udon(noodle with soup) that you can finish all the soup, i guess the soup have less soysauce less salt based on fish and konbu seasonings.

i had all the soup , as it was still warm and outside was chilly then.

for prefering thick taste , go to other udon bar.

there are variety of menu from approx 400(udon only ) ,or udon with tenpuras, etc.
