The dishes were nice but we were not very happy with the services; It took nearly 10 mins to bring the menu to our table There was something (a small brown floating thing..) in a glass of wine. When we asked to replace it, they only said “sorry” and brought a new glass of wine without further words The waiter who seemed specifically taking orders from our table wasn’t trained enough and didn’t know the menu. He said to us “sorry but I’m still not familiar with the system here”. We were asked to pay the bill and leave while we were still eating our dessert and having a coffee. There is not enough space between the tables. Our table was just next to a group of 4 people talking loud and we had to talk each other loud too (otherwise we couldn’t hear each other). My wife and I dined at this restaurant with friends tonight. I was quite impressed by the dining experience I had at Bistro double. I can’t believe that it was only five minutes walk from my company! Every one of us enjoyed the delicious food and the service was truly exceptional. For me, I picked Viennese-style duck confit for my entree, deer meat from Hokkaido for my Plats and Verona gâteau chocolat for my entree. My wife ordered Country Pate with marinated vegetables for entree, pan-fried fresh fish with lemongrass sauce for Plats and seasonal fruit millefeuille for dessert. Food was a bit above average. One unfortunate thing for me was I felt there was a bit too much sauce on my meat that it was hard to enjoy it fully. Location and vibe were great. Outdoor seats are perfect in nice weather, esp as the road for cars was more than a few meters away and there isn’t too much foot traffic either. Service was a bit slow.
