The rooms at Oakwood Premier Tokyo were disappointingly dusty, making the stay feel pointless given the price paid. While the rooms themselves were pleasant, the lack of cleanliness was a significant drawback. On a positive note, the front desk staff was courteous and helpful, particularly on one night when they provided a bed rail for our child—a service not extended by other staff members. Regrettably, our experience at Oakwood Premier Tokyo left us all falling ill due to the dust and poor air circulation. This has led us to reconsider choosing Oakwood brands for future stays, especially outside of Singapore. Despite the decent location, the overall stay could have been much improved if the rooms were cleaner and the breakfast variety matched the high price point. Families with small children may want to opt for a more family-friendly area, considering our experience. In the end, we recommend saving your money and choosing a luxury 5-star hotel for a more enjoyable and sanitary stay.

Terrible experience here - was confronted by staff at the hotel gym for “visible tattoos”, embarrassed in front of a bunch of people, and forced to change clothing. This is no way for a “5 star hotel” belonging to an international chain to treat guests, especially at US$500/night. This isn’t a local ryokan, and the staff need to have some cultural awareness. I’ve attached a photo of my “visible tattoo” that caused the staff so much distress that they required me to change into long pants. Edit: Hotel replied to this claiming they’re not responsible for the gym. But to be clear, it was HOTEL STAFF who came into the gym and forced me to change. Separately, the ‘studio’ suites are tiny and badly laid out, and located directly next to elevators. I chose to pay extra to upgrade to a ‘one-bedroom’ suite, which was fine, but was surprised at the low quality of the ‘studio’.

Really amazing staff, location, and accommodations. Price is a bit high but it’s Tokyo & it’s an Oakwood. I stay here regularly for 3+ weeks at a time and have always loved coming back. The staff remembers you and is always happy to help in any way that they can. The views of the apartments are also wonderful and the feel is super modern and luxurious. Can’t wait to return.

Families traveling with young children know how valuable a full kitchen and easy access to laundry are. ||Oakwood Premier apartments are luxuriously appointed with extremely helpful staff who speak excellent English. It is very spacious by any world hotel standards for a hotel in the center of a major metropolitan city. While it lacks on-site restaurant and room service, it does offer breakfast. It is literally next door to Tokyo Station where everything you need is available, and there is Lawson convenience store on the ground floor of the building. We picked up water and some snack for our first night and then went to Tokyo Station to do real shopping, including ingredients to make pasta for kids and fresh sashimi and sushi for adults. (Kid was feeling homesick and wanted their favorite pasta dish that we make at home. I was able to find everything I would buy in the U.S. including kraft Parmesan cheese (no judgment please… getting a tired and jet lagged kid to eat unfamiliar food is not easy)||Beds are very comfortable. Shower pressure is excellent. The linen is ok. Not the most luxurious kind but we have had worse ones in other hotels. No complaint on beds. We slept well. ||The closet door in the room is a giant floor to ceiling mirror that reflects the bed. It may bother some kids. I always travel with a painter’s tape and ended up taping my shawl on the mirror so that kid felt more comfortable. ||The room darkening curtains work well but a bit of light seeps through from the top as there is no valance and the curtain is not 100% flush with the ceiling. For most sleepers, this should not be an issue. ||The location is very convenient for shopping and transportation, especially if you will stay in Tokyo for a short period of time before you head to another region in Japan. It is also easy to access trains to major points of interest in Tokyo but Tokyo Station area itself isn’t the most interesting area. ||We usually stay in Tokyo for about 3-4 days before we take the Shinkansen, so we try to stay at Tokyo or Ueno stations for easy access to Shinkansen. We used to stay at Shangri La, Mandarin Oriental or similar hotels. Oakwood premiere is much more comfortable and convenient and we are so happy to have found this place. We will defiantly stay for our next visit. ||If your primary interest in Tokyo is on the western side (Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro and further out Studio Ghibli museum and Harry Potter studio tour), it does take time to get to the western side by train. It’s about 20-30 min...

After traveling around Kansai and then Disney for two weeks, I landed in Tokyo for two weeks, and stayed at the Oakwood Premier the whole time. It was a great place for a longish, more "real life" than vacation, stay. ||I had one of the studio apartments. It was dead quiet inside, with the only noise the entire two weeks being the occasional siren out on the street (not surprising in a big city). I didn't hear my neighbors at all, neither on the sides nor up above. This place does seem to cater to solo businessmen, which I appreciated.||The bathroom is huge and excellent, though I wasn't a super fan of the hair products here. I bought my own at the drugstore that were excellent. ||There's a washer & dryer combo in room which worked so well; I could pop a load in and just set it to go without having to do a thing until it was done! ||I made my own breakfast; Daimaru is very nearby in Tokyo Station for bento boxes and groceries, and there's a Lawson right outside the hotel (although the one up the street a bit in Nihonbashi is better, more well stocked).||Fair warning that housekeeping only comes 3x a week, but this is okay when you're staying a longer time. ||Front desk staff was helpful, assisted me in transferring my luggage to the airport a couple days before checkout, and spoke great English. I actually was a little disappointed that they consistently greeted me in English instead of Japanese. :D||I did find the location a bit tricky for a first time in Tokyo; it's a long way to the west side of the city from here, and Tokyo Station is tough to navigate, even after hours and hours of trying. ||Overall, though, I would happily stay here again if I were staying in Tokyo for a longer...

||||Gezeichnet...
