· im a big fan of boiling point in LA but their tokyo branch is honestly underwhelming
· their lunch menu was lacking in variety (only have two basic hot pot lunch specials set on specific weekdays)
· which means all the other popular hot pot are regular prices regardless of time (no incentive to come)
· Los Angeles boiling point at least have free black or green tea during lunch while here = no drinks
· 1958 Yen (as of March 2025) is cheaper compared to the US but its pricey when compared to nearby hot pot + shabu shabu restaurants in Shibuya
· staff was not very attentive with soup refills (have to keep asking instead of them taking initiative to walk around to check)
· most of the staff do speak fluent chinese here
· a location-specific hot pot to Tokyo would have been a cool concept
· there were only 4 pieces of pork for my miso hot pot (bad CP value)
· honestly very disappointed with this boiling point experience...
tldr: nothing special if you already had taiwanese hot pot (LA boiling point is...

I was excited to try boiling point since all my friends in Ca go often, wanted to see what the hype was about. The vibe definitely feels a bit different when the place is empty but I enjoyed my experience...

Their beef was 70% pure fat, I wouldn't even serve that to a stray dog .Be careful, they put everything in it, including processed meat of what you didn't order. Absolutely not recommended if you have dietary restrictions. I ordered the beef hot pot, I got beef fat, a pork meatball, a stick of surimi and a slice of processed chicken altogether, and they don't even mention it in their menu. A sheer disappointment, and...
