BRISK STAND KABUKICHO — Restaurant in Tokyo

Food is good, but there’s something else going on here, man.

Let’s talk about the decor. It’s very…KABUKICHO. Kind of a sleazy, slimy, tacky, dimly-lit aesthetic that makes me afraid to touch anything, like dirty stuff is happening in the shop after hours.

To fix this, today I decided to order pickup via Uber Eats. Every shop I’ve ordered from usually has the regular in-store pricing as the pickup price. I grabbed a menu while waiting for my order and learned I was being charged the delivery upcharge. If that wasn’t disappointing enough, there was something rock-hard in my burger. I’m not sure if it was bone or cartilage or what, but I guess I just ended up getting the gross feeling to-go.

Final visit for this location. I’ll probably venture out to the one in Asakusa on my way home. It at least looks like a proper burger shop, and hopefully no cow kidney stones in...

If you're in the Shinjuku area and craving an unforgettable burger, look no further than Brisk Stand in Kabukicho. From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed with the cozy, yet vibrant atmosphere. The highlight, of course, was the burger. The patty was incredibly juicy, cooked to perfection, and packed with flavor in every bite. The seasoning was just right, complementing the fresh, soft bun and crisp veggies.

What truly stood out, however, was the service. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making me feel right at home. It's clear they take pride in what they do, and it made the experience all the more enjoyable.

Highly recommend this spot if you want a delicious burger and top-notch service. I’ll definitely be coming...

1.8 ⭐ First off, i love burgers and i make it a point to visit many burger spots. Service was great as always. Plating was lackluster. This place doesn't look like a burger spot in anyway.

Now the burger. This seems like their version of an american smash burger. Extremely heavy tho. You can just feel the oil, weight gain and heart attack going down your throat. They dont give you nearly enough french fries or in this case (tots). Price point was a bit high around 12.00 USD for one burger and fries. You can probably find a better or equal burger at McDonald's.
