Precision coffee. I mean, precise weighing and counting of the individual beans that go into the pour-over grind.

Water is kept at the exact right temperature to brew coffee. And two gentlemen take their time making the coffee perfect. Smelling it throughout the brewing process as they swirl the water into the Japanese brew funnel (the same brand I have at home).

I ordered a “dirty chai” — a chai latte with a shot of espresso. Perfectly delicious. And a tasty banana bread with a couple of walnuts and a few chocolate flakes.

Coffee was served in a glass with a fleur de lie and the banana bread with a golden fork.

We were walking in Toranomon, in need of a coffee, when we spotted a 4.9 star reviewed coffee shop a 25min walk away… so we started walking, hmmm, hoping this would be worth the walk… and O.M.G. was it worth the walk!!

The dudes at BunCoffee are total coffee angels: warm, welcoming, and quietly spreading the love through every drop. They will be rewarded in heaven for this coffee! The lamington’s also a dense little epic number.

Sure this is like an Aussie or Kiwi coffee shop, but better. Next level. So give yourself a gift, order a flat white here, and just sit outside and watch the good vibes of Akasaka roll on by you. Best coffee I can remember, thanks guys....
