This vegan matcha café in Harajuku is an absolute hidden gem! I originally planned to go to the matcha Tokyo right next to it, but the line was insanely long, and there was no way I was going to wait. That’s when my friend pointed out this tiny, hidden café—and I’m so glad she did because it turned out to be one of the cutest places I’ve ever been to in Tokyo, with some of the best matcha and desserts I’ve ever had. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is perfect. The floor is covered in quiet rocks, and you’re encouraged to take off your shoes before stepping inside, which makes the whole experience feel even more cozy and special. The space is small, intimate, and aesthetically pleasing, so I highly recommend making a reservation since seating is very limited. The owner is incredibly sweet and welcoming, answering all our questions with so much kindness! To my delight, there was even a beautiful cat inside the café, which made the atmosphere even more charming! Their menu has a great selection of drinks, including an absolutely delicious vegan matcha. I personally love matcha yuzu, and theirs was incredible. I also ordered the mochi, which was so soft, chewy, warm, and perfectly sweet. My friend got hojicha and loved it, and we had the best time just unwinding after a long day of walking around Harajuku and the vape store. Another big plus: there’s a bathroom inside! This might not seem like a big deal, but in Tokyo, it can be a hassle searching for one, so it was a really nice touch. I’m honestly surprised this place doesn’t have more reviews—it’s so underrated. If you love matcha and cute cafés, you need to come here. This is definitely on my must-visit list for my next...

•Taste: Nice! If you're worried about a weird or inauthentic taste because it's vegan, don't worry! Each drinks' milk alternative has been carefully chosen, and the sweets have a nice texture and flavor. While not the best Japanese sweets and drinks I and my Japanese partner have ever had, they score high.
•Presentation: a modernized take on traditional Japanese sweets. A nice balance! Well done!
•Accessibility & Logistics: floor (cushion) seating; shoe removal required. There are stairs at the entrance.
•Atmosphere: A wonderful modern take on traditional Japanese tea rooms! The chic gray and white theme goes nicely with the real flowers and dried plants. Everything is handmade by the owner: the tables, decor, even the stone floor design.
•Service: The owner explains everything as they bring it. They'll talk to you if you ask some questions, too. Seems very gentle. 😌
•Ingredients: The owner hand makes everything they can. I saw them crushing cashews and asked if it's for the cashew milk--it is!! The mochi I got had a Japanese seasonal fruit, which will change depending on what's good at the...
Read more✨The concept was really well cured: as we entered the cafe we felt a nice classic Japanese atmosphere. Very cozy too. The environment was relaxing and I felt like they put some thought in every detail.
🍵🍡The drinks were really tasty and we loved that we could customise them! Hot matcha latte+azuki was just perfect 👌 We also got the hojicha cinnamon roll which was so yummy! Perfectly warm, the flavours were well balanced and I personally enjoyed the texture so much, together with the hint of cinnamon sprinkled on the plate.
🧑💼The owner was so elegant, as part of the environment. That contributed to making the whole experience unique!
💰To be honest, I think prices are very reasonable for what you get!
I’ve been wanting to come here for a while as I’ve seen this place on IG a lot: I’m glad I got to try it! I definitely want to come back to try the other drinks and sweets!
