So worth it! I loveeeee cats and this is the definition of cat heaven. So the pricing is reasonable. For every ten minutes you spend, it is $2 per person. You can also choose to purchase the all you can drink pass for, I believe, 400 or 350 yen. We were originally going to spend just 30 minutes at the café, but we fell in love with the location so we ended up spending an hour at the café. They have some small lockers available for your stuff and keep in mind you will have to take off your shoes to enter the café.
All of the cats are very approachable. We arrived at the perfect time which was feeding time. After feeding time, all of the cats scattered throughout the café, which is two floors. There was definitely over 20 cats at the location. The majority of them are upstairs on the "cat tree". They have a few toys available to use to play with the cats. The location had no smell to it and all of the cats were very clean. They have some chargers available to use for multiple phones. I will say, don't visit the café expecting to run around with the cats or take photos holding the cats. You are not allowed to carry the cats and the majority of the cats were sleeping or lounging around. Nonetheless, it was still a magical experience for a cat lover.
We did purchase the "all you can drink" pass and I would say it's worth it. Don't expect a barista to be there, but instead a beverage vending machine. They have soda, coffee, and...
Read moreStopped by for the second time (first was during our last trip Nov 2022). Such a chill atmosphere and the cutest kitties. Best of all, they are so well cared for! I was worried before entering as I have heard things about some animal cafes in the area, but this one is amazing! The kitties run up to the staff to say “Hi Friend” and get a little nose boop. They have little hide aways with litter boxes if they need a break. The workers will come out and groom the kitties and they are so sweet with them and the kitties trust them! This was very important to me, especially being a rescue cat foster mama myself. They seem to be very happy kitties!
Some people have mentioned in other reviews that the cats aren’t always super interactive, but remember they are cats and they don’t know you! If you are calm and don’t get too excited (I know it’s hard) they are cuties. None were aggressive at all. Add on charges are available to purchase kitty treats (currently 100 ten for dry treats and 500 yen for ice lolly and all the kitties will flock to you and you can get some pets in. So worth it in my opinion).
Not to mention you also get drinks for yourself included. Definitely recommend to take a nice break from the busy city and hang out with...
Read moreIf you are in Tokyo and have never been to a cat cafe then its certainly a good thing to see at least once. But I have to admit the experience was not overwhelming. As soon as you step out of the elevator, one of the staff members will go through a list of items explaining the costs of each. E.g. how much you pay for 10 min increments, how much if you want to give them treats, that every person must buy a drink and what the minimum fee for drink it etc. I felt my wallet getting thinner and thinner before I even saw any of the cats!
The cafe inside is actually very nice and cozy - would be a beautiful place to hang out for an afternoon, drink coffee and read a book - however having the constant pressure in my neck of being charged every 10 min, the thought of staying longer for actual enjoyment quickly disappears again.
The cats seemed all to be either too lazy or too bored to even pay attention to visitors and most of them don't even like to be played with in any way.
So yeah, good to see once but overall not worth the money...
