It was my first time in Japan. I stayed in Ikebukuro. I remember the first day for me as a Thai to experience the cold weather in Japan. It was very cold and I was very hungry! I saw a restaurant that was still open so I tried it. It was very delicious for me. But because the amount was a lot for 1 person, I couldn't finish it. I'm a small eater. But!! Do you know what? On that trip, there were 6 of us. I told my friends that this restaurant was very delicious and we had to try it!! And my friends decided to try it. But because the size of the restaurant was a bit small, we couldn't eat it at the restaurant. So we ordered it to take home. And that's when I realized that the chef was very sad that the last time I came to eat, I couldn't finish it. I really have to apologize to the chef. I'm a person who eats a little bit and I'm full. Chef, now I'm in Thailand. I want to tell you that you cook very deliciously. And all 6 of my friends like the food you make. And of course, I like your food very much as well. As a chef like you, thank you for making food that looks good, delicious,...
Read moreThis place wasn’t initially on my radar, but my friends had recommended it to me since our hotel was a few minutes away. I am so glad that I came with them because everything about this place was just so good that the 5 star rating doesn’t give it enough justice. The restaurant is a tad small, but it has such a nice vibe and atmosphere to it. A lot of the music I really enjoyed because the person running the place had on her k-pop playlist. The food was actually so so good, and the portions are very good as well! We even came back again about a week later! Lastly, the owner of the place is one of the nicest people I met during my time in Japan. Both times I came, my friends and I just spent the whole time lost in conversation. My favorite conversation was me talking with her about One Piece!
If you are ever in the Ikebukuro area and want good food and a nice person to talk to, this place is DEFINITELY worth...
Read moreWas my last night in Japan, had wanted to try some fried chicken! When I spotted Cco KioChicken, I was drawn by the small and unassuming store. Ordering process isnt smooth if you dont use a google translate though the pics are helpful. What stood out is the female (sweet & cute) staff. She saw me struggling and came to assist me, obviously knowing I am non Japanese. She is patient and offered recommendation. And because I cant really take spice but wanted to try the YangYeom, she generously gave me some sauce. If I had a bigger appetite, I would have ordered more but even with the half portion was too much for me. Its very reasonably price, definitely have it with company and some beer or even plum wine...like I did. Yeah! Please show some love...
