CoCo Ichibanya — Restaurant in Tokyo

My go to curry whenever I’m hungry.

I’ve been to countless cocos in Japan and this one is the one that is the most consistent. There’s always the right amount of fried meat (sometimes there’s less and sometimes more in different shops) and the curry is always on point. Downstairs is for solo seating at a counter and upstairs is for groups.

One more good point is that this location does not smell. Most of the time you would smell like curry but not here!

It’s “fast food” but still really delicious. If you’re in Japan eating at Coco is a rite of passage. You order off an iPad (easy), the food comes quick (delicious) and the service is friendly (perfect). The wonderful host was a lovely older gentleman who provided our 2 year old with a gift on exit. English friendly staff. Vegetarian options are available at some selected stores. Test is not that great, however worth a shot. Quantity is sufficient enough.
