Made a reservation for lunch so was able to avoid the queue. Ordered the unagi box which was served with pickles and clear liver soup. The food arrived about 20 minutes after ordering and the staffs were friendly and attentive with refilling the green tea. The unagi was soft with a nice thin layer of fatty skin, and there was enough sweet sauce soaked into the rice. Sansho pepper was very fragrant goes and well with the rich unagi flavor. Great choice for lunch. One of the best unagi meals I’ve ever had. The perfectly cooked eel is sticky and smoky with a hint of sweetness. They open only from 10:45am to 2:30pm and the crowd is mostly senior company executives or tourists.

The crowd seems to thin from 12pm onwards so that’s a safe time to visit.

Save some rice and ask for ochazuke at the end of your meal to be given a little teapot of eel broth. Pour that into your rice to finish your meal with a lovely...

Delicious Unagi with a reasonable price for the high quality. The restaurant is in a very good location as well.
