This spot is located inside one of those large shopping streets, a little hidden away from all the loud advertisement everywhere. It is a bit of a “hidden” restaurant, like a speakeasy, which we love.
Their decoration by the entrance is certainly very different from all other shops and eateries, so once you find it, it is hard to miss. The interior looked like a secret cave! It was like a whole new different world down there, away from the noise and people up above.
Their menu is quite limited, offering mostly just their special curry or some kind of toast/sandwiches. We were there for curry dish, and on this day, they had a lunch special called Omu-Curry Set. It is a healthy bean curry with fluffy scrambled eggs. It also came with one small sausage. The curry had such warmth to it, healthy yet packed with flavor. The eggs were indeed fluffy, not overcooked and still moist.
The Omu-Curry Set comes with a choice of hot coffee or tea. I went with Hot Tea and my hubby chose Hot Coffee. They came with a side of milk, in a copper-type container which had that antique feel to it, matching the atmosphere. The coffee was a bit small, but really good.
The staffs here were courteous and polite, and took a very good care of us. We had a nice, relaxing time here, with healthy food that was...
Read moreI just had the most unbelievable experience at the Coffee Hall. When I think of how a coffee house should look, I just saw it tonight. The ambience is perfect, the lighting is a little dim and the seating is cozy. I can’t say enough about the staff, they was so nice. My server was Alyssa and she HIGHLY recommended the hot cocoa. Alyssa was very sincere so we trusted her. I am happy to say that she was spot on. My wife said that the Coffee Hall hot cocoa was the absolute best hot cocoa she has ever had in her life.
With the friendly and personal service from Alyssa and her team, you can’t go wrong. I would suggest that you ask for Alyssa and order the hot cocoa , you...
Read moreThis place has a great atmosphere but overall it was overpriced and the drinks we ordered were disappointing. We ordered a coffee float, a cup of single origin Ethiopian black coffee, and a “rare” cheese cake. The float was served with plenty of ice so the ice cream didn’t melt and it was freezer burnt anyway. The black coffee was burnt as well which is too bad because it was a single origin natural process Ethiopian coffee which can be very fruity and aromatic but instead was a bitter mess. The cheesecake was delicious. All this for ¥3,300 was disappointing and we won’t...
