Ducky Duck is a wonderful family restaurant and a great option for lunch or dinner when visiting Sunshine City.
During our visit the service was prompt, warm and welcoming.
The dinner set (between 1400 and 2100 yen) is moderate value. It includes a drink and either cake or soup and salad. My husband had the Hamburg Omrice and I had the Mushroom Omurice. Both were fresh and packed full of flavour.
The kids meal was great value for money. My five-year-old's spaghetti was packed full of flavour and she loved the chocolate mousse cake that came with it. Kids are also given the option of a toy to take home with them (standard practice in Japan at most family restaurants).
The cakes are divine and it's worth visiting just to indulge. We had the strawberry shortcake and the colourful fruit sponge. Though I'd recommend both (so delicious) the latter had a really unique and scrumptious flavour due to the addition of youghurt and cream cheese. It was perfection on a plate. The patisserie chefs were busy preparing several during our visit and, after tasting them, it's easy to see why.
Next visit I'd probably skip the meals and stick with the cake set. Though a little pricey (where it's lost a star) I'll definitely be back and would recommend to all my fellow cake...
Read moreAbsolutely gutted, waited for 20minutes or even more, just wasting my time. We have seen multiple parties coming out from the store, and the seat was available after they left. There were around 10 parties left the store. However, we still manage to wait 15 more minutes for the empty seat, the poor management of allocating the seats is horrible and unacceptable, why would you waste the time of your customers? The only reason I can think of is they want to have the crowd outside of the store, there’s no excuse. Would not recommend for tourist. Talking about the food, Too much cream in the cake for me. I truly wouldn’t recommend this place. My time is valuable, and this experience left me feeling frustrated and unappreciated. I hope they can make improvements for...
Read moreI would recommend this place for families looking for a place to eat for lunch or dinner. Ducky Duck is famous for their pasta and cakes, but they also have omurice and pizza. I ordered the special ducky set which allows you to choose one pasta, one slice of cake, and a drink. I got the mozzarella and shrimp tomato cream pasta and the banana royal milk tea tart. My partner ordered the baked Camembert cheese and smoked ham pesto pasta. The cake was sweet but it was not overpowering because most of the sweetness came from the banana. The pasta was decent, but not the best I have had at a...
