Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from. We visited this location and were pleasantly surprised! The staff were so kind and greeted everyone in and out, so efficient with service and never kept us waiting, and kept the area super clean! As soon as you go in you order on the screen and then take the ticket up to a seat, once that is done they will bring you your ramen to enjoy! The ramen was absolutely worth the little drive we had and so delicious! We got the larger portion of noodles and it was way too much for lunch as it was a VERY big portion! But if you’re going in very hungry would recommend otherwise the normal portion is perfect! We also tried the rice and gyoza; both of these were delicious as well! The place is smaller but we had no issues finding a seat as everyone cycled out fairly quickly. The atmosphere was relaxing but busy! Overall we would highly recommend for some great ramen and will definitely visit again! Also super friendly...
Read moreIchigen Ebi (prawn) ramen shop. This place is super super popular with locals and tourists and is one of the few shops around Tokyo.
Hard to locate and get to given that it's a bit out of the way from the station but worth waiting for... If you go around 11am or 3pm, the odd hours definitely mean the lines are shorter.
I have taken photos of the menu so please review before visiting and make sure you know how to order from the vending machine. Top is normal, below is moderate soup and 3rd is the strong heavy soups.
I had the heavy one and it is THICK. Liquid fat/oil.
So much flavour. I reckon ebimiso ramen over any tonkotsu pork ramen. Hands down.
Fyi, dont mix in the black paste if you do not like charred BBQ...
Read moreOMG this was my favorite restaurant when I visited Tokyo that I went back and tried the same ebi soba again the day before we leave Tokyo. We tried so many good restaurants but this was my No.1!
I generally am not a big fan of eating shrimps but I love shrimp products including this. The soup was so rich in flavor and intense in the shrimp-ness, but also oily at the same time. They use both shrimp heads and pork fat in their soup so that was why the soup was so good and addictive. I tried both thick and thin noodles and they were both good.
I love the original flavor and the combination flavor(with pork soup).
I miss this restaurant and if I visit Tokyo or Hokkaido again, I’d definitely go...
