Fresh, delicious, and a great experience overall! We had a fantastic time here.

The food was absolutely delicious — every bite tasted incredibly fresh and well-prepared. One of the highlights was sitting at the bar, where we could watch the chefs prepare the dishes right in front of us. It really adds a special touch and shows the care that goes into each plate.

The service was also excellent. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. You can tell they really care about making customers feel welcome and taken care of.

Everything we tried was flavorful and beautifully presented. It’s clear that they use high-quality ingredients, and the freshness really stands out.

The only thing we weren’t entirely sure about was the price point — it may be slightly higher than some other places nearby, but the overall experience and food quality make it worth considering.

I ordered the Basic Omakase Lunch Set, which came with a unique shrimp soup instead of the usual miso — a nice change. The sushi was fresh and well-prepared, offering great value compared to what omakase usually costs back home in Australia. I love the attention to detail. I asked for a little bit of wasabi. They did as I asked and I loved the pairing of it with the sushi. It’s so good. You should also try the sushi like that when they ask you if you want wasabi or not. Service was efficient. I was seated right away, ordered via QR code, and could choose to pay before or after — I preferred paying after. I had seen TikTok posts about 100 yen sushi, but that wasn’t available. Sushi Mon Shinjuku is a true hidden gem! We were warmly greeted with smiles the moment we arrived, even as tourists. Ordering was simple with QR code menus that included photos and English translations—making it easy to navigate and self-order. The place was filled with locals, which is always a good sign, and I quickly understood why.

The food was incredibly fresh and top-notch in quality. I tried the Daily Special: Sushimon Rice Bowl (which comes with free refills of Ochazuke), and it was excellent—clearly a popular choice among regulars. I also added yellowtail and splendid alfonsino sushi, both of which were outstanding.
