We had our dinner and arrived quite early. Lucky that there was no one inside and it’s full house because the seating is just for 5-7people only. And you seat right in front of the kitchen like most small restaurants available in Japan.
The owner was friendly and generous with us. Basically the menu is easy; you get grilled beef meat with sauce, a bit of spaghetti and like potatoes at the side and also plain japanese rice. For me, the sauce was a bit salty. The beef was nice perfectly cooked.
There’s also vegetable soup which was good. The menu looks complicated but it’s just the same meal with three different sizes; Small,Medium or Large. Cold plain water also being served.
They accept cash as well as credit card for payment.
The food is halal. The owner said that he owned other 4 restaurants around Tokyo with other different names. Overall nice and great...
Read moreI’ve visited Grill Hunter Shimbashi twice so far. The place is small (fits about 6 people max I think?), but that also means it’s never too crowded as I always managed to get a seat even during dinner time.
Food: First visit, the food was excellent, well-seasoned and flavourful. I especially enjoyed the spaghetti with meat, even more than the hamburg steak. Second visit, the taste wasn’t quite the same (different chef that day). Still good, but the consistency was lacking. The potato salad was nice and I appreciated the wholesome set with soup and rice.
Feedback: I’ll definitely return but I hope the restaurant ensures more consistent quality control so the taste stays the same regardless of who’s cooking.
Overall, a cozy spot for halal dining in Shimbashi with solid potential if they can maintain the same great...
Read moreI was totally blown away by the ambience, service and especially the food that was served to me and my family. The hamburg steak meal was just comfort to all of us as we were famished, looking for halal joints to eat at. The place definitely provided us with more than a meal because the chef-in-attendance, Hussain Abdul Anwar was just so friendly and caring. He attentively listened to us and even taught us some important Japanese phrases for us to take away. In the end, we decided to order 4 more sets to go to eat for breakfast. If I ever go back to visit Tokyo the next time, this will be my go-to place in Ginza for a halal meal. With 23 years of serving the same dish, the great taste is...
