We made a reservation a week before our meal to secure seating. When we arrived, the signboard indicated that they were fully reserved for the day. I think by and large, if you come to Tokyo last minute without reservations, you will find yourself disappointed if you want to eat at specific places. Most of our meals are actually without reservations and we enjoyed those meals as much as those that need reservations. But I digress.
I got to know Hikuniku to Come (shouldn't it be kome?) through some reel recommendations. Japanese hamburgers just hit differently. We actually have a similar concept back home (Gyu San Charcoal Bar) that is almost 95% alike! 😏
There's only one item on the menu, with drinks and souvenirs like t shirts at an additional charge. We were worried we couldn't finish the meal as we had Starbucks just an hour ago. Our fear was unfounded as the patties are juicy and tender to the bite. We have many condiments to pick from, from crunchy to wet, savoury to spicy with a kick.
You get one raw egg to make your own TKG and one refill for rice. Water is free flow.
After you are done with your first patty, the second one comes with oroshi and its accompanying sauce. The third one is eaten however you like it. Additional patties are available for ordering if you have not had enough. It's placed as a wooden block in front of us.
Everyone sat in a circle or somewhat like a spectacle ring with another smaller ring elevated at one end. You can hang up your outerwear inside a glass cupboard to prevent the smoky fumes from sticking to...

You are allowed to book one week in advance for the following week, so I ended up getting a reservation for a Saturday at 5:45 PM. Most of the time slots around 7 PM were booked out first, but I think the earlier time slot worked out better in our favor; when we finished eating around 7 PM, the physical queue wrapped around the stairs and almost to the entrance (vs. only one party ahead when we arrived at our reservation time).
The entrance for this location took me a while to find. The entrance to the building is located on a smaller road parallel to the main road and on the right hand side (if you are walking northbound) after walking up a couple stairs. Once you enter the building, you will have to walk up some spiraling stairs to the storefront.
The service was English (and multilingual)-friendly and provided clear guidance from ordering to eating (options). They even have a closet (that I only realized after we sat down) where you can place your coats, so they won't smell like smoke afterwards.
The food was amazing from the hamburgers, the star of the show, and the rice. Even the different sauces were delicious, and they were all good. The hamburgers were juicy, the (unlimited refill) rice was high quality, and the sauces were super flavorful as they only further enhanced the taste of the meat (but was not essential for the meat to...
Read moreOnce it start open for booking , all full within few minutes, even it’s auto postponed my booking on 2 days later, luckily we didn’t booked any restaurant on those few days, It’s quite difficult to find it , the very tiny word at the entrance, even we pass by, still didn’t notice , holding the google keep turning right there, old building and narrow staircase to get in , Once you step in , it’s looks totally different, it’s comfortable and not so smoky, I wonder it may change the usefulness of from the living house to dinning restaurant. We buy a ticket from the vender, then the waiter escort us to the private corner , it’s good, privacy but the ventilation is not so good as the outside big round bar table , however, it seems like private Teppanyaki chef just take care of us only, add point , Chef is funny and courteous, although it’s very simple item to serve, it should not be to on B much interaction, he did a great job, other waitress is smiling all the time when serving drinks . Many different condiments are ready set up just next to you. Main point , the beef patties is so yummy , tender and juicy , 3 pieces just perfect portion, even I think 2 is enough, caused it’s come with unlimited rice and miso soup, the miso soup tiny a bit salty for me but it’s very tasty too, my friend said even the rice is so yummy ! End up, Super great in valued ! Must try , highly recommend...
