Upon entering you are warned by an Old man -who remains at the counter for processing payments; ‘THIS IS A CHINESE FOOD RESTAURANT’ in their best attempt at English. Right after this I figured this was a no frills typa spot - a joint youd expect to be open late till night and be relatively cheap.

This interior is beautiful and brick walled with a matching red tile. A feeling of being in a wine cellar but since its lit up nicely it actually suits the restaurant.

There seems to be a second floor; im not sure, and the main floor has about 5-6 round tables; 2 of which are massive for large gatherings of family/friends.

At the kitchen side there is bar seating. Now i would suggest sitting in the left corner towards the entrance as youll have a seat that practically offers you sideways seating, and the chef will place the next order up infront of you leading to the waiters reaching over you and your plating area.

The waiters are nice, i was dealing with a gentleman who speaks english. Slightly snotty and obnoxious- not the best for a service based industry - but then again in Japan it seems to be all up to fate for the restaurant in this country.

Although I requested to keep the menu I was asked by another waiter to give it to them, to only be placed few seats down not being used by anyone- guess she mustve had some control issue here where her dominance was needed lol. I get if another english customer comes in you need the menu; but to disregard a potential reorder of items is quite sad. I dont feel the need to ask for the menu again or even bother ordering more.

The Sausages were recommended- dry texture on the outside almost as if you left the sausages and forgot - texture unpleasant and very dry. Usually when I do get sausages from a Chinese cuisine its juicy in the middle still. The dryness caused a lack of flavour which i needed to substitute with a combination of sauces available tableside. Im writing this as I eat. You get served two sausages and if youre eating to yourself - your jaw will be tired of chewing by the time youre done. Mind you ate these slowly, not back to back.

Next the flour fried pork meat with bone/cartilage. Genuinely surprised this took 20 minutes to serve. But it may be because of how freshly everything is prepared. The flavour is simple, the crunch is subtle, they offer you a seasoning salt which I recommend and some kerchup on the side. This dish comes with plain rice.

Unfortunately with how good the english was, i think the snootiness comes through here; confident in his skills he chose to not confirm the order. Yes youre writing the order down infront of me, but the reason I have an english menu is because Im not a native speaker. The Shrimp Fried Rice was missed. How disappointing.

The smoked Duck is the winner for me here. The flavours are intense, although again some oarts are so dry and some are moist. I guess its been smoking a little too long.

As i sat i witnessed the reason to dry sausages- theyre made before hand and sit under a heatlamp. Sucks.

Over all i was excited to eat here but the experience and food were only subpar. Sorry I hope my opinion doesnt offend anyone but this restaurant isnt anything more than what a late night spot serving chinese food is all around tokyo. Save it for another place.

The intensity in the kitchen is beautiful, its harmonious motions of different people manning woks. Overall quality of the food isnt harmonious yet poorly executed. I sat a spot last night, way faster service, subpar attitude, but the food actually...

This is the worst the worst place I’ve eaten in Japan. The food portion is smaller than my self confidence. While the price for it is bigger than the amount of mistakes I’ve made in life. There is no reason to go there while there are way more restaurants in the area. Unquestionably serving a better value for money.

There are so many good places to eat, I would not recommend anyone to go here. Do have to say, the staff is friendly!

The picture has been taken after eating 7 slices of pork. In total 10 slices. The duck and bamboo rice has not been touched. Total bill ¥5500 with 2...
