I have been working for Hooters for 12 years in the U.S. and finally was able to visit Japan after years of planning. Though I thoroughly enjoy local cuisine, I got home sick by day 5 of my week long stay. I tried outback in shabuya and they were absolutely awful so even though I work for the company I decided to go try out the hooters. I'm glad I did.
First off, my Americaness must have been showing because I was immediately sat with an English speaking hooter girl named Coco who was amazing. The place doesn't smell like ordinary hooters does either. They have several key menu differences such as rice, they still have the Cobb salad, they have ribs, the fried pickles are made with the wrong pickles, boneless batter in my opinion was awful compared to standard U.S. boneless batter, you get 2 large tacos instead of 3 medium size tacos, ECT. So in conclusion some things are a welcomed change and some things take away from the traditional hooters food. I ordered a few things to eat there and some things to take home, my least favorite thing about it was the wings could definitely be fried longer. Even though they are completely cooked, they were lacking crispiness which gives wings life.
I'm not trying to sound critical, just being thorough for my American friends, that way they understand what to expect. Overall, My stay was absolutely amazing. I enjoy seeing other countries take on our American classics, the locals are beyond the most polite people I have ever met, the people smell nice (It's weird, but it's true). I truly hope this location lasts, from what I hear it's the last Japanese hooters. I personally hope one day I can pick up some shifts there for fun like I did in the Guam location because the menu is definitely unique in Japan and 100% worth trying as long as you understand it comes with differences that cater to the locals.
Again, I highly recommend having CoCo as a server. She's an absolutely beautiful person in spirit and in person and absolutely Wonderful at her job. I ALMOST FORGOT THE BEST PART! The girls do dances once in a while and it's absolutely...

So it's just like the Hooters in America with a few changes.
The staff were great, fast, and friendly. One of the setbacks was us not knowing how to speak Japanese. That presented a challenge when wanting to order a shot of whiskey with a Coke back. But they came through for me with much patience and using a translator app.
I ordered my usual at all Hooters; 10 wings breaded 911 extra wet 2 ranches A side of celery.
But not here...
They have Fire which is 3 flames but just as good as 911. So that made me happy.
Their fried pickles were on point, with the twist here folks... The breading is much different than in America, and to me...tastes better here in Japan. Their dipping sauce is like a tartar style and not a Chipotle Ranch style. And again...better.
Wifey had the Lemon Pepper boneless wings. That was a home run also. Again...much better here.
For those who are too friendly and try to take pictures to get huggy huggy...respect the personal space.
If I lived here...I'd be having a hard time...
