Great spot. We were the only foreigners in the place and they was just what I was looking for. Filled with salarymen and locals, we queued for a short time before being seated at the counter.
English menu is available. We ordered pork cutlet (tonkatsu) and the meal arrived with heaped cabbage, bowl of rice, miso soup and green tea. For the price, incredible value.
The food itself, amazing. You can tell the chef and the team are very proud of the product they deliver. We enjoyed watching the action in the kitchen and were very appreciative of the environment, service and food.

The staff would offer to refill my green tea and ice water if they noticed the cup or glass getting empty. I'm no expert but it was the best katsu I have ever had. The batter was crispy but light, a lot less oily than any other katsu I have had. The pork loin was juicy and tender, too. The miso soup and rice were very decent as well. I got this big portion for 1000 yen which I think is a steal considering the taste...
